SECOND BALKAN MINERAL PROCESSING CONFERENCE

The Second Balkan Mineral Processing Conference (BMPC) was organized by the Ministry of Mining of Romania under the chairmanship of Eng. Stanka Patras. The conference was held in Baia Mare from October 18 to 19, 1977.

A total of 100 participants attended the conference, representing four countries: Bulgaria (16), Romania (56), Turkey (3), and Serbia (25). Thirty-six papers were presented, covering various areas of mineral processing.

All papers were published in four volumesโ€”in Romanian, Russian, French, and Englishโ€”which were the official languages of the conference. Following the event, a technical excursion was organized, including visits to the Rodna, Ostra, and Tarnita Flotation Plants.
