EIGHTH BALKAN MINERAL PROCESSING CONFERENCE
The conference took place in Belgrade from September 13 to 18, 1999, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Duลกan Salatiฤ. A total of 144 papers authored by researchers from 22 countries were published in two volumes of the proceedings. The official languages of the conference were English and Serbian, with simultaneous translation provided. However, all papers in the printed proceedings and CD-ROM were published exclusively in English.
On September 13, a one-day technical excursion was organized to the Kolubara Coal Mine. Following the conference, a two-day technical excursion took place. On the first day, participants visited the Bogovina Coal Mine, as well as the open-pit and flotation plant at the Bor Copper Mine. On the second day, the excursion continued with a visit to the open-pit and flotation plant at the Majdanpek Copper Mine.
