NINTH BALKAN MINERAL PROCESSING CONGRESS

The 9th Balkan Mineral Processing Congress was held in Istanbul, Turkey, from September 11 to 13, 2001, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Güven Önal, and jointly organized by the Mineral and Coal Processing Section of the Mining Engineering Department in the Mining Faculty of Istanbul Technical University, and the Turkish Association of Mineral Processing Engineers. The congress was attended by 70 delegates from abroad and 180 delegates from Turkey.

This event marked a significant milestone in the evolution of BMPC. The transition from “Conference” to “Congress” reflected the growing impact and prestige of the event, driven by the high quality of the papers presented and the increasing number of participants it attracted.
